The Sony RX100 as a Street Camera

I have waited for a camera like this. The Sony RX100 is truly pocket-able and has fine image quality (IQ). It is good at the higher ISO settings and has a good Zeiss zoom lens. There are many fine reviews of the camera online so I will not belabor all of its features. While on a trip to Eastern Tennessee recently I had the opportunity to try it out at an open Farmer’s market. The camera is small and non-threatening. It is also relatively quiet. No one seemed to notice as I strolled around snapping pictures. This will be a regular companion for me on the streets, or anyplace else. It can be a primary camera or a backup. Either way it is a strong performer.
